Silica

Lets have a look at Silica which is an extremely reactive pozzolan due to its chemical and physical characteristics. Concrete made with silica fume may be extremely strong and long-lasting. Wood chips, coal, and quartz make up the basic ingredients. Electric furnaces, like the ones in this picture, are used to create silicon metal and alloys. Silica is available in some ranges like Micro Silica Fume, Silica Fume, Undensified Microsilica, and Unidentified Microsilica for refractory. Instead of being dumped, the smoke produced by running a furnace is collected and sold as this chemical. It is a byproduct of making silicon metal or ferrosilicon alloys.
